Have you ever listened to a JW Zoom Meeting?
It`s painful....LOL!!

There seems to be a competition.
About how many times you can get the name Jehovah into one comment.
It would seem...
The more Jehovahs in your comment, the more spiritual you are.

Which reminded me of the Pharisees.
The bigger the box of scriptures on your forehead, the more spiritual you were.

Apparently Jesus didn`t think much of it either.
Quote:
Matthew 23:5, NIV: "Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long;"

Matthew 23:5, ESV: "They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long,"

Matthew 23:5, KJV: "But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,"

Matthew 23:5, NASB: "And they do all their deeds to be noticed by other people; for they broaden theirphylacteries and lengthen the tassels of their garments."

Matthew 23:5, NLT: "'Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels."

I have to agree.
Doing something for show, isn`t a display of sincerity.
It`s more like "Look at Me!..I`m Special!!"..

Now back to the JW Zoom Meeting.
They`re doing exactly the same thing as the ancient Pharisees!
They`re all participating in one single minded competition.
Which is:
"How many "Jehovah`s" can I get into one comment and still have room for a "Satan and an Armageddon"?!"

..."So Everyone will Admire Me!"

That was way back then, dear Sher'f (peace to you, dear friend!).

When I first became a JW, many had these "scripture carrying cases" (and, of course, many were making and selling them):

Then, I would see these smallish bookbag "scripture carrying case":

But soon, it became these larger "scripture carrying cases":

And, then... it was this kind of "scripture carrying case" (which these always reminded me of being - I couldn't ever get the thought out of my head when I saw one - LOLOL!):

Image

I kept thinking, "Ooh, one day, it's gonna be this "scripture carrying case" (because, y'know, they need to carry all of that malarkey, and there's a LOT of it)":

Image

Well, given their appetite for getting and holding onto [other people's] money, I should'a know'd they would find a way around the injury and/or workers comp lawsuits that one would surely bring (then, again, as someone once said, "Sheep are notoriously stupid," so maybe not - I am sure there are a plethora of injured JW from quickbuilds to working at Bethel/the Farms out there).
But regardless, they now have this (which hold quite a bit of malarkey):

And that's NOTHING compared to what they lay out on tables - LOLOLOLOL!

Thanks for sharing that and, again, peace to you (and your fam)!

YSFS of Christ,

Shelb

Hey Shelby!

I forgot about huge pretentious Brief Cases, JW men would pack to the KH.
Filled with WBT$ literature that had nothing to do with the study that day ...LOL!!
It was there as some sort of Status Symbol.
Try attaching that to your forehead...LOL!!

How about WBT$ advertising?
"The Watchtower magazine is printed in more than 180 languages and sent to 236 countries".
You must be the best if you print and distribute that many magazines!

What they won`t tell you is...
95% of those magazines are in a JW`s spare room, attic, basement...Ect..ect..ect...
Because...
Nobody wants WBT$ Crap literature in their house except JW`s.

Another JW Status symbol is...
Having as much WBT$ literature in your home as possible!
Having multiple copies of the same WBT$ magazine or book nobody wanted, only adds to your collection!

You may have 1 less room to live in.
But..
The next JW Guest you have in your home.
Will Think You`re Awesome!
