I don't think it was, dear At (peace, luv!). I believe some spices had to remain separate until ready to put on the body as the chemical reaction (with each other, as well as the body) could change the aroma AND the intended effect. I don't know if you dear ones have ever smelled some of those spices, etc. (frankencense, myrrh, etc.), but, well... ummmm... I'm glad we don't wear any of it TODAY.
Of course, I am SURE, given the lack of plumbing, soap, detergent, etc., that almost ANYTHING smelled better than the animal and human "funk"... and particularly the funk of decay... of ancient times... but these spices?
Dear FC and I tried mixin' up some of them a bit ago... and oh, my Lordy. We were like, "You're kidding, right? RIGHT?!! They put that ON folks??!!" LOLOLOL!
So, to put some of them together, girl... I'm thinking, yeah, they had to wait. Maybe even until the VERY last minute! LOLOLOL!
Peace!
YSSFS of Christ,
Shellamar
